The ambitious aim of Plant4Wasteland is to develop a portfolio of Lighthouses, i.e. exemplary degraded and marginal sites rehabilitated through phytomanagement, for integration into a phytomanagement Living Lab in Wallonia. This program aims to (i) stimulate innovation in phytomanagement solutions for tomorrow's cities, (ii) provide demonstration tools for stakeholders (brownfield owners, rehabilitation operators, circular economy players, local and regional authorities, NGOs, citizens, etc.) and (iii) strengthen ULiège's ability to position itself as a key player to join similar initiatives across Europe (e.g., ENOLL, the European Network of Living Labs).
