Missions, trade shows... A busy schedule for Waste2Bio

The start of this year promises to be eventful for Waste2Bio and its partners. Here is a brief overview of some of the opportunities on offer... 

1. Futurebuild will be held in London (ExCeL London) from May 12 to 14. This is the leading trade show for sustainable building and construction, bringing together researchers, architects, and professionals to discuss solutions, materials, and technologies for a more sustainable built environment, with conferences, exhibitors, and networking opportunities. 
2. IFAT Munich will be held from May 4 to 7, 2026, at Messe München. It is the world's largest trade fair for environmental technologies, bringing together more than 3,000 exhibitors around solutions for water, recycling, and the circular economy, with presentations of innovations, exchanges, and networking between professionals. 
3. Prepare for the CBE JU 2026 call for proposals by participating in two complementary events: an online information webinar on March 12 and a networking event on April 21 in Brussels. First, the information day will provide essential information on the priorities, rules, and requirements of the call, as well as practical advice on preparing strong proposals, with opportunities for questions and answers and access to a recording afterwards. Next, the Brussels networking event will offer face-to-face matchmaking and training sessions, allowing participants to connect with potential partners, refine project ideas, and explore opportunities for collaboration. 4. A mission co-organized by Greenwin Wallonia-Brussels International (WBI) entitled "Reuse of materials in construction" will take place in Switzerland, in Zurich, Fribourg, and Lausanne, from March 22 to 25, 2026. The main objective of this mission is to explore and better understand Swiss practices in the reuse of construction materials, in order to draw concrete lessons that can be transferred to the Walloon and Brussels contexts. 5. Please note that the dates for the annual meeting of the International Soil Pollution Network (Insop) have changed: The 3rd annual Insop meeting will now take place on January 29 and 30, from 12 to 2 p.m. CET. Register via this link. 
6. Last but not least, the EU Soil Observatory (Euso) newsletter has just been published, with two topics that may be of particular interest to Wast2Bio partners. The first concerns funding opportunities for projects contributing to the achievement of the Soil Mission objectives. An online seminar will take place on January 20. Register at this link. The second topic is the first European symposium on soil biodiversity monitoring, which will take place on February 2 and 3, 2026. On-site registration is now closed; however, some sessions will be broadcast live (non-interactive hybrid format), with the possibility of commenting via an open chat.
